About This Coffee

This very unique coffee hails from Suntikoppa, Karnataka in India. What makes this coffee so unique is that the coffee is left in open warehouses during India’s monsoon season, where beans are allowed to swell and are repeatedly raked daily. The process was developed to emulate what coffee went through during long sea voyages in the wooden sailing ships of the past. Essentially it’s a fermented/aged coffee. We find Monsooned Malabar to have more body and less acidity with a nice spicy and nutty flavor profile. It makes for an excellent drip or pour-over. At a medium roast, India Malabar 'Monsooned Voyage' is a very distinctive coffee that yields a top-grade brew. It is known for its light body, gentle tanginess, and mellow, soft flavor, and unforgettable aroma.
