This coffee comes from the Karo Highlands area, and is processed using a unique method called "wet-hulling" to accelerate the drying time in Indonesia's wet climate. That process gives Sumatra its signature intense earthy flavors of cedar, tobacco, and rich, sweet chocolate which we focus on by roasting it dark.
