PERC Coffee
Savannah, GA, USA
It's been a while since we sourced a coffee from Rwanda. This one from the Gitwe washing station is an absolute stunner. It has tons of clean, bright stone fruit flavors and a sweet brown sugary finish. It's got fruit cup vibes but is surprisingly balanced for an African coffee. You'll definitely need more than just one cup! Gitwe washing station was built in 2018 in the hills of Rwanda near Nyungwe natural forest. The quality of coffee grown in the area can be attributed to the high altitude, optimal rain conditions, and rich volcanic soil. Coffee cherries delivered to Gitwe are pulped immediately, fermented for 8-12 hours, and sun-dried on raised beds for 10-15 days.
