About This Coffee
Finca El Espejo sits high in the mountains of Santa María, Huila, where second-generation producer Reinel Borbon tends four hectares of steep, verdant land at 1,850 meters above sea level. The farm maintains around 13,000 trees of Pink Bourbon, Caturra, and Colombia varieties. Each lot begins with selective handpicking of the ripest cherries, followed by an initial 20-hour dry fermentation in cherry. The parchment ferments in open barrels for up to 80 hours alongside Reinel’s own yeast substrate before being washed and dried. The coffee offers structured sweetness, layered acidity, and clear varietal expression. Expect a bright, refined profile from Pink Bourbon and deeper aromatic complexity from yeast-inoculated Caturra/Colombia lot. Roasted with care at Tinker Coffee Co.
