About This Coffee
Jigesa is a remote woreda in Ethiopia’s Guji region. The terrain is rugged and mountainous. Elevations are high at 1850 to 2100 masl. Producers intercrop their coffee with other native species such as false banana trees, which help provide shade and enrich the soil. After harvest and de-pulping, the coffee was fermented in for 36 to 48 hours and then dried under parabolic covers for 5 to 7 days.
