About This Coffee
Weβre really excited about Kenyan coffees. The country boasts perfect altitudes, unique varieties and excellent processing that makes for absolutely stunning coffees. Kenyan coffees can be extremely complex and have stunning, vibrant, unique acidity. Formed in 1997, the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society represents approximately 850 producers whose farms sit between 1,600 and 1,800 meters above sea level. In 1995, their mill, the Kii Factory, was constructed and opened at the foot of Mt Kenya. The Kii factory places a high value on consistency and quality in their coffee cherry sorting to ensure that only perfectly ripe cherries are processed. In their pursuit of the highest quality and sustainability, they have installed tiles, rather than concrete, on their coffee washing channels and then clean and reuse the water they draw directly from the Kii river.
