Swerl Coffee
Falkenberg, Sweden
Welcome to the Odd Bean collection. This project started from the idea of wanting to find a home for all the beans in our roastery that are waiting for someone to enjoy them. At the end of every week, we end up with small batches of leftover coffee beans that are carefully packed and willing to wake you up in the morning. This is one of our ways to pursue a no-waste lifestyle and to give a longer life to the so-called odd beans. <3 Earliest roast date: 01.05.2023 When we first tasted this coffee from Javier Cardozo, we thought that there might have been some mistake on the cupping table: for us it had such a palpable similarity to coffee from Kenya that we had never experienced on a Colombian coffee. This coffee was sourced through Nordic Approach, and they let us know that Javier strives to cultivate exceptionally clean coffee which might be why this coffee tastes the way it does. With nearly 50 years of experience as a coffee farmer and a dedication to quality, he expresses the hope that coffee drinkers will appreciate his efforts. The cherries at La Cabaña are picked every 15 days and then taken to Javier’s wet mill. They are then fermented for 36 hours, washed, and dried on covered and raised beds. If you are longing for new harvest from Kenya, this might be just the perfect coffee to warm up with.
